Pop, as we all called him, was such a strong, energetic man. He always lived life to the fullest. He was the type of man that would help anyone. We all miss him so much. He had been through so much, he battled cancer and won, and a bypass just months before the accident. He never let ANYTHING stop him. I remember right after the bypass surgery he decided he would climb on the roof and clean the gutters. It killed him to sit still!
In October 2007 that strong loving man was taken from us. He was driving a dump truck and it over turned and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was hospitalized and fought over a year till January 30, 2009.
I hope he knows how much he meant to us and how much we all love him and miss him. Life is just not the same without him. He was so happy I was pregnant and could not wait to meet my son and be a new granpa. Life just is't fair sometimes. I guess God needed him more than we did. We miss you Rick and love you so much.
